Justine and I saw Serenity last night and really enjoyed it. For fans of Firefly, it’s a must-see. Great dialog. Great plot. The downside was the fact that the theater was PACKED and we were forced to sit in the 4th or 5th row from the screen…which wouldn’t have been a problem had there not been dozens of giggle-crazy 12-year-olds behind us. I gave them the stink-eye and told them to shut-up more then once….but alas, 12-year-olds are very hard to silence.
This made me think of a great article I read recently about a solution to this problem. If only I had no fear of a criminal record I would totally test those theories with great effort.
Things I will do today before the end of the day:
- Reserve a hotel room in Portland for the trip
- Reserve a rental car too
- Organize a list of stuff for the trip
Also a week or so ago, I saw a really great documentary/motivational movie called “What the bleep do we know?” If you can look past some of the heavy-handed new-agey rhetoric (a la Ramtha’s goofy “channeled” voice), I think you might dig the movie. It’s mostly filled with some interesting techniques about positive decision-making and the power of true intent.
Anyhow, that’s all for now.
