Justine and I are hopelessly addicted to ABC’s “Lost”. It’s the most fascinating, puzzling, head-scratching, plot-twisting show on television since Twin Peaks.
Everytime a new episode airs there is a buzz around the water cooler for days afterwards. It’s like a rubik’s cube slowly being turned each week…coming closer and closer to being solved, but never all the way.
I compared it to Twin Peaks, however, it’s much more linear than Twin Peaks ever was. You can see glimpses of the truth slowly leak through the cracks each week. I will eventually buy the DVDs when they come out just so I can watch all the episodes in close sucession.
Also, as much as I despise “buzz” and “hype”, I actually enjoy all the excitement surrounding the show. The internet is full of crack-pot theories about the show. And I enjoy reading them all.
If only Locke would stop pushing the button every 108 minutes. God, doesn’t he realize it’s all one big psychological experiement (my own crack-pot theory)?
