Boulderado

Posted by: Above The Aether In: Vacation

We’re staying at the Boulderado until Friday this week. I’ve always wanted to stay here but never really had the opportunity until now. It’s a very nice hotel 2 blocks from Pearl Street. They’ve been in business nearly 100 years. I used to hang out in the basement bar of the Boulderado called the “Catacombs.” The Catacombs hosted open blues night every Monday when I was in grad school. This was the only way I could afford to listen to live music at the time because it was free. You couldn’t beat the price and the opening house band was always great.

Justine and I will have to venture into the Catacombs sometime this week just for old time’s sake.

We have an amazing view from our room, which came with fresh-cut flowers and chocolates. You can see the Flatirons and much of Boulder as well.

It’s great to be back, if even for just a short while.
