Liturature Map

Lit Map

This is interesting.

Type in an author’s name into the search bar and click “continue.”  The web application creates a floating map of authors wha are somehow related to your author.  The authors seem to float in clumps.  Those clumps symbolize a type of similiarity in authors.  The tighter the clump, the more likely you are to enjoy other authors in that clump.

This is an interesting way to discover new writers.  (Although, I think amazon.com has this type of technology perfected.  They have millions of suggestions from readers’ purchases and wishlists.  They honestly know more about my taste in books and music than anyone else on the planet.

Regardless, Literature Map is still pretty cool if you want an immediate snapshot of related writers.
