My business name

Posted by: Dave In: Business|Web

The good news: Bryan and I have a business name and a product name as well. The bad news: I can’t tell you what they are yet. As soon as we register both, I’ll spill the details in the blog. -Dave P.S. – I’m pretty excited about all this.

Here’s an interesting post from my pal Scott about his Buddhist leanings. I wouldn’t consider myself a full-fledged Buddhist at this point, but I wouldn’t rule out the possibility that it could happen. My wife has said that’s fine with her as long as I don’t give up my job, sell our possessions, and start […]

Printable cold sores

Posted by: Dave In: Humor|Media|Weird

Nowhere in advertising is the gap between natural beauty and manufactured perfection more apparent than on subway posters. As we wait for transportation, we are unwillingly assaulted by larger-than-life representations of supposedly beautiful salespeople. The large scale of these ads and their extremely close proximity to the viewer offer up more than perceived intimacy, however… […]

From Treehugger: Jerry Falwell, God’s gift to swooning teenage girls everywhere, was actually quoted calling environmentally conscious Christians “niave.” Apparently there’s a liberal conspiracy involving this whole fake global warming thing… The whole story can be read here. (If you stare at my photoshop monstrosity above, eventually you will join Jerry in his crusade against […]

I just discovered a very cool plugin for iTunes called iConcertCal.   This gadget looks at your iTunes music library and then searches a database of concerts to see if any bands in your iTunes will be in town for a concert. This is very useful if your favorite bands are still touring. This is […]

St Mary’s Glacier

Posted by: Dave In: Colorado|Photography

I took this picture in October of 2003 of some dripping water on the underside of St Mary’s Glacier just outside Denver, Colorado. I had it saved as my computer desktop at work for nearly a year. I think was hoping the cool pixels of snow and ice would cool me off in the hot […]

  • Dave: I think someone should make some dance music from those "WHOAHs."
  • epiphenita: Oh, Dave. That was tonic to my soul. Perfect. I vote for an exorcism.
  • Dave: Hmm, looks sober to me.
  • Scott: I'm thinking that the guy with the hat might have had a drink or two before this picture was taken. Just a hunch...
  • Scott: There's a roleplaying scenario just waiting to be written based on these pictures. :-)

Stepping over the steaming pile of reality. This is one man's journey into the absurd.
