Happy birthday to me

For those of you interested in what to get me for my birthday…I give you this link.

I’d like blue flames painted on the side of mine, however.

UPDATE: The evening’s festivities 2/13

Justine, my wonderful fiance whose eyebrows are freshly waxed and tender, took me out for dinner at the Cafe Montrose (a Belgian restaurant a few miles away). We ate lots of cheese and drank some Chimay & Hoegaarden. Julie and Jason would have been proud of our choices.

We came home and ate some ice cream cake (ice-cream cake happens to be my favorite kind of cake). Did you know blue icing actually turns your tongue blue? It’s true, see below. My most excellent birthday loot consisted of the following: an iTunes gift card, a Cuban Havana shirt (great for Houston in the summer), an accessory pack & carrying case for my Nintendo DSLite (yes, I am actually 12 years old), a gizmo that connects my iPod to my camera for downloading pictures on the fly (very cool), a 6-disc retrospective of The Fall’s Peel Sessions, a book of Colorado ghost towns and a cool disposable fountain pen. A picture of the loot below.

It was a great birthday thanks to my lovely Justine and I’m looking forward to hanging out with Josh & Tara and Ted & Leslie this weekend. I think the fun-quotient will be off the scales.

  • Joshua: Rush rules. Have you heard of the new documentary?
  • Scott: Damn, if he was DM'ing, I'd actually have to play, just for the show!
  • Nathan: Easy Strokes or Diff'rent Rider? Which sounds better?
  • Nathan: (said in robotic monotone) Indeed,I...think...this...is...pretty...great
