Justine and I went for a long walk today at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, TX. We live pretty near the cemetery and talked about it last night at dinner with Ted & Leslie. It’s quite an impressive place. We both walked for over an hour through the cemetery and still did not see everything. Oddly enough, it looks like a popular place for joggers and walkers who want to escape the noisy streets of Houston for some peace and quiet.
There are some amazing monuments throughout the facility and some famous people are buried there, most notibly, Howard Hughes (the first photo below is his grave/monument).
I thought it was a peaceful place, but I think Justine was a little weirded out by all the graves. Regardless, it was nice to have some peace and quiet in the middle of the city. Enjoy the photos…
