The House of Representatives told President Bush to go fuck himself earlier this week when he attempted to eliminate $420 million in federal subsidies supporting the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Would you believe some yahoo in Colorado suggested this to the slack-jawed, mouth-breathing shaved ape we lovingly call the President?
Thank god I didn’t lose PBS. It’s is one of the only channels we get clearly in Houston without cable.
(I, of course, am not counting the 6 Christian channels preaching gloom and doom all day long; nor am I counting the 5 spanish-speaking channels that broadcast re-runs of badly-dubbed-spanish 1980s action movies starring Chuck Norris. Why do Mexican folks love Chuck Norris so much? I don’t get it?)
Anyhow, I’m very glad the House flipped GeeDub the bird on this one. Nice work folks.
Now that they’ve saved PBS, maybe they can get us out of the war we’re currently losing.
