Posted by: Dave In: Humor| TV

I’m not sure you remember The State, but it was a brilliant sketch comedy show on MTV when I was in college. Skull fonts

Posted by: Dave In: Design

Here’s an interesting font from the Skull a Day website. It reminds me of old Johnny Quest villians for some reason. There are Mac and PC versions. I installed the Mac version and it works like a charm (see above).

Coconut Crab

Posted by: Dave In: Science| Weird

The Coconut Crab is the largest anthropod in the world, weighing in a 8-10lbs with legs up to a yard long.  It is named for its ability to crack coconuts with its claws.

There isn’t any debate that he used several very long continuous scrolls of tracing paper that he taped together to measure a total of [...]

OK, I’ll talk!

Posted by: Dave In: Film| Humor

OK! I’ll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max’s toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog… [...]
