Wow! I’d heard of this, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. Can you imagine what would happen if you tried it in New York City? And yet, with continuing increases in population, will we see crazier stuff yet? Probably.

If New York City hired white-gloved subway shovers to help pack the subways, unless they were armed police officers, I suspect they’d be assaulted on a daily basis.
New Yorkers would probably just turn around and punch them for shoving people.

TDH – Maybe there is another crew of Japanese train station employees at the other end with pry bars and spray butter.
I’d rather be a shover.
