Women in the US Senate

Women in US Senate

35 women have held seats in the United States Senate since its inception.  The number of women in the Senate has more than doubled in the last 20 years.  I find it interesting that the majority of the women who have held seats in the Senate have been democrats (22 out of 35).

I’m not sure what, if anything, that says about our political landscape and the minds of voters in the United States.  Regardless, this wikipedia page has some very interesting data collected.

  • epiphenita: Oh, Dave. That was tonic to my soul. Perfect. I vote for an exorcism.
  • Dave: Hmm, looks sober to me.
  • Scott: I'm thinking that the guy with the hat might have had a drink or two before this picture was taken. Just a hunch...
  • Scott: There's a roleplaying scenario just waiting to be written based on these pictures. :-)

Stepping over the steaming pile of reality. This is one man's journey into the absurd.
