Stained glass d20

Posted by: Dave In: Games

A quote from the Etsy shop of the artist:

This unique, handcrafted item appeals to the gamer, mathematician, or anyone interested in beautiful objects. While it may be rolled on a soft surface, it is not recommended. The d20 can be used as a gaming counter, or just admired. Roughly 3″ in diameter, it fits nicely in your hand. Leading and numbers are finished in antiqued copper patina.

Buyers may choose glass colors as these items are made to order. We will do our best to match your requested glass type. After we receive your order, we will contact you to finalize color preference.

Pretty cool, huh?

Cool decoration for a dedicated game room, but I think anyone actually trying to roll one deserves what happens (and I don’t mean a natural twenty result!).

I thought they would look good if the artist left off one side to allow for a candle to be placed in the middle. That would look pretty neat.

That would be very cool. I think I’d have to buy one if they were available that way.

Very yes. :)

  • Dave: Not sure, Bryan, but I'd love to know where Craig lives.
  • Bryan Hanks: What city were those in?

  • epiphenita: Like Tom Waits without the music.
  • epiphenita: Reminds me of my good friend's artwork: http://victoriacarlson.blogspot.com/2009/06/untitled.html
  • Dave: I think someone should make some dance music from those "WHOAHs."
  • epiphenita: Oh, Dave. That was tonic to my soul. Perfect. I vote for an exorcism.
  • Dave: Hmm, looks sober to me.
  • Scott: I'm thinking that the guy with the hat might have had a drink or two before this picture was taken. Just a hunch...
  • Scott: There's a roleplaying scenario just waiting to be written based on these pictures. :-)

Stepping over the steaming pile of reality. This is one man's journey into the absurd.
