Goodbye Hollywood Theater

Posted by: davidherrold In: HPL| Mobile

It’s been a great trip to Portland this year. I’m even a bit sad it’s over. The movies were interesting. The people were wonderfully weird. The company was delightful.
The festival was even more fun this year because we were experiencing it with friends.
Hmmm…I wonder what movies will be playing next year?

It’s that time again.
We’ve booked our trip to Portland, Oregon for the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival.
Some friends are in tow this time around, so I’m hoping it’s even more fun than it was last year.

HPL Filmfest: Day 3

Posted by: Dave In: Film| HPL

No.
We have not had our share of horror movies yet.
Sunday afternoon found us in the Hollywood Theater in Portland again. The theater is a 2-story building with two smaller theaters upstairs and one main theater downstairs. It is in a very cool part of town called the Hollywood district, filled with pubs, bookstores, and interesting [...]
