I love interesting data visualizations and happened to stumble upon this map of nuclear explosions since 1945 (high res) on Neatorama.
I have a lot of respect for designers who can take a mass of data and create an elegantly simple visualization like this one.

Blahblahfish translation

The idea of rubbing snot into your hair seems to be marketable product.

The Call of Cthulhu as interpreted by Wordle

I  was recently shown a really cool site called Wordle that takes any text and converts it into a word cloud, giving more frequently used words more prominence on the page.
This is where writing and art collide.  It’s both beautiful and interesting at the same time.
